1. General information

The project involves the installation of a solar power plant (SPP) for the Kazakh-German University (KNU) in Almaty as part of the "Contribution to the Ecology of Kazakhstan" initiative. The main goal of the project is to reduce the carbon footprint of the educational institution, popularize renewable energy sources among students and teachers, and form an environmental culture and conscious energy consumption.

2. Project goals

  • Reduce CO₂ emissions by switching to clean energy.
  • Reduce the university's electricity costs.
  • Increase environmental awareness among students.
  • Demonstrate the efficient use of solar energy in educational institutions.

3. Solar station configuration

  • Station capacity: 20-30 kW (optimal for the needs of the university).
  • Solar panels: Highly efficient monocrystalline modules with an efficiency of 20% or more.
  • Inverter: Huawei Sun2000 with intelligent monitoring and network integration.
  • Monitoring system: Huawei FusionSolar platform for online monitoring of the station.
  • Installation: On the roof of the university building or on a special ground structure.

4. Expected results

  • Annual electricity generation: 25,000–35,000 kWh.
  • Reduction in CO₂ emissions: About 20 tons per year.
  • Electricity savings: Reduction in the university’s electricity costs by 30%.
  • Educational effect: Opportunity for students to study the principles of renewable energy sources using real-life examples.
  • Social impact: Increased interest among young people in sustainable development and green technologies.

5. Contribution to the ecology of Kazakhstan

The project is part of an initiative to promote renewable energy sources and sustainable development in Kazakhstan. The installation of a solar power station at the Kazakh-German University has become an example for other educational institutions and companies, showing that the transition to green energy is possible and cost-effective.

This project will not only reduce the ecological footprint, but will also inspire a new generation of students to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the future of Kazakhstan.
