Project Description
Kazakhstan
On the ground
The project involves the installation of a 50 kW hybrid solar power plant at a PepsiCo production or warehouse complex in Kazakhstan. The goal is to provide autonomy to an important part of the enterprise, increase energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of the enterprise.
The system will include highly efficient monocrystalline solar panels, inverter equipment with the ability to operate in hybrid mode, as well as an energy storage system (ESS) based on lithium-ion batteries to ensure uninterruptible power supply in the event of grid outages.

Expected generation is up to 75,000 kWh per year, which will reduce grid consumption by 30–40% and provide backup power for critical facilities. The project payback period is 5–7 years due to savings on electricity and possible government programs to support renewable energy sources.
The project is in line with PepsiCo's environmental goals aimed at sustainable development and reducing environmental impact.
